How Does Off-Site Backup and Disaster Recovery Work?

Certified Network Group’s (CNG) Solution can back up your data, applications and OS across the Internet.  In the event of a disaster, the CNG team restores your critical programs and data to CNG servers.  You just log in and run your programs remotely and securely from any location, through an Internet connection.  CNG will have your critical programs up and running in a fraction of the time of conventional tape or remote data backup systems.

Because even a business continuity provider could also be affected by the disaster that has caught your business, the CNG backup servers are also being replicated to another location who will restore your critical business systems if the first location can’t.

Once you have your critical functions running, you will be able to restore your business to its full condition.  Unlike other businesses that aren’t prepared, yours will still be able to serve your customers.

This diagram shows how this exciting technology inter-relates to provide backup and Business Continuity.

From the diagram, you can see that Certified Network Group’s Technology can backup just a few laptops and scale to networks with dozens of servers.  CNG will put the DS-Client or software  either right on your existing server if there’s enough space, speed, etc or you can buy an appliance or just use a USB drive.  The benefit of the appliance is quick restoration of a failed server.  The software can pull the data, applications, and system state at intervals you decide and send the changes via internet to CNG’s primary and secondary data vaults.  It is encrypted before it leaves your office.  And, if you lose the encryption key code, we can’t help you access the data – unless you stored it with us.  The data is deduped (duplicate files are removed), compressed such that 100 gigabytes may only store as 25 gigabytes and you are billed on that.  Now, if you lose a file, you can retrieve it within a couple of minutes.  If a server fails, and you purchased an appliance, then within 15 min. CNG can be remotely bringing back that failed server on the local appliance using bare metal restore.  Now, if a major disaster occurred and the building was destroyed, then CNG would take your latest backup, push it into the CNG emergency silos and give you access within 1, 24, or 48 hrs via internet (Depending on what you purchase). So, you go to the nearest internet access point and log on using your encryption key code to see your data in your applications as if at work.

You can choose step 1,   offsite data backup, step 2 – the appliance and ability to restore a failed server quickly and/or step 3 the ability to virtualize your business.
