Rack Gigabit Media Converters

WideBand Professional Media Converters are an effective way to connect Gigabit copper and fiber networks. These rack mountable devices are available in two, four, and six conversion port models. Each conversion port includes a 1000BASE-T port for Category 5 and a Mini-GBIC slot for a fiber module. Since each conversion port is independent of the others, each can be connected to any copper gigabit switch where a fiber connection is needed. The fiber slots can be populated with any combination of 1000BASE-SX multimode or 1000BASE-LX single mode Small Form Pluggable (SFP) Mini-GBIC modules.

The high performance WideBand Professional Series 10/100 Ethernet Switches are available with 8 or 16 auto-negotiating ports. The “Powered” versions of the switch provide 12-volts on the unused network cable pairs to supply power to compatible network devices. The Professional Switches have been found to greatly out-perform many standard 10/100 hubs and switches by eliminating data collisions and retransmissions.

The Professional Cable Splitter Switch offers five high-performance 10/100 connections in a unique in-wall design. Mounting directly on a wall outlet, the Cable Splitter Switch turns one network drop into four 10/100 ports without adding clutter to the desktop.
